Masons and Non-masons shoot each other for fun!
On Sunday, May 18th, the members of Adelphi-Momauguin Lodge #63 held an event that left them bloody, bruised, sore, dirty, tired and wanting to do it again! No this wasn’t a family picnic or holiday brunch gone awry, it was Adelphi Fellowcraft Club’s Paintball Day. Brothers, friends and family carpooled to Matt’s Outback Paintball in Coventry Connecticut to have a fun-filled day of running in the woods and shooting each other.
Whether they were defending bunkers or charging through the tire maze, the participants enjoyed every moment of their exhausting day. During the mid-day break, the group was treated to free hot dogs by the wonderful staff at Matt’s Outback Paintball. As for the members of this motley crew, we had Master Masons, Past Masters, friends, a brother’s wife, even a past District Deputy and his eleven year old grandson.
After nearly five hours of play, everyone’s paintball hoppers were empty, their CO2 tanks were bone-dry and the last of those hot-dog-produced calories were spent. However, as the last of this band of brothers and friends left the field, there were grins from ear-to-ear. The last statement that was uttered by all in attendance was “When will we be doing this again?” Apparently the answer is “Not soon enough!”
